This was a very engaging look at a historical even that often merits only a paragraph in history books. the authors do a great job of contextualizing the summit in the broader events going on at the time. i admire how thorough they were in interrogating the sources and conversation around how various people involved remembered and talked about the summit. a must read for those interested in WW2, espionage, or history in general

I found this book fascinating. This being the third book talking about assassination attempt conspiracies. There were some pieces of history I remembered, but a lot was new. I didn’t realise how much damage the Nazi’s did to the Soviet Union. The body count is disturbing. Anyone having even the slightest interest in WWII would enjoy this book.

I went into this blind (and now realize how infrequently I read anything that’s not been recommended to me), but I was completely engrossed. Will absolutely check out the other books in this (non-fiction) series.
