One morning, Polly and Greg have a falling out about their wedding day plans and before he knows it, Greg is being thrown out with just a change of underwear with some scrapbook memories plus photo memories too. His mate Simon says he can stay with him till he sorts somewhere to stay and to pop by to get the key. When he has the key and gets to Simon’s home, he lets himself in, leaves his phone and the key on the side then goes back outside to get the bag, the door then slams behind him. He goes back to see Simon and confesses what has happened. Simon is okay about it. Although it’s then that Greg bumps into Milo, his boss, who then gives him some work. A bit later Greg tells him to stuff his job as he’s leaving.

On his way to see Polly, something happens that knocks Greg out and the next day when he wakes up, there is no-one around! He races round to Polly’s but there’s no answer when he knocks at the door, he climbs through a window to check inside but there’s no sign of her and the car is still outside. He then goes round to Simon’s but again no answer but when he rams a plank of wood through the front door and lets himself in, he checks everywhere, Simon isn’t home. He decides to drive to her parent’s place to check if she is there, he goes off down the road, manoeuvring around the vehicles stranded in the road and on the motorway. When he gets to her parents place, it’s just as quiet with no-one around and no-one answering the door. He breaks in the back door and checks inside the house, there is no-one home. He drives back to London and meets someone else on the road. He flashes his lights but ends up chasing them until he ends up flipping the car on its roof. The other driver got out of the car and came to check on him. It turns out to be Polly!

What does the future hold for the couple? Is anyone else still alive? What is happening?

This is a great horror book to read. Very vivid in its description of events. I liked how quick it was to read and once I started reading I wanted to know how it ended. Also, I felt like as I was reading the scenes they were being shown in my mind like a film would be. It was very intriguing. There is some humour in it.

Review Excerpt:
A zany borderline rom-com plot set in a vacant version of London? I’m into it! Sadly this book was not as advertised. I found myself feeling pretty uninterested, largely due to a lack of plot and flat, insufferable characters with very little rom-com and not all that much apocalypse.

There are definitely some fun ideas that went into this book, and it had potential, but unfortunately the execution was really lacking for me. The action scenes are entertaining, and I enjoyed some of the more comedic spins the author put on your typical zombie tropes, but personally I need more than just action and barely-there characters to keep me interested.
