was so excited for this one. read it online so i likely didn’t process every single word but hey,, kira and aehako supremacy.
reread 1- so now that this is in print and i was more patient, i do really like this couple. in the authors note, dixon acknowledges that kira’s infertility is a focal point of the book and that by having a khui, she was going to eventually be healed and able to carry children. did i really like the concept of chosen mates with these two?? oh my god yes. and despite the fact that all these books end in babies, i wish it would have stayed that way. it just made the two of them mean more to me.

Man I loved the concept of this one. Where it fell flat was
Spoiler
when Kira resonated at the end. Why can't people get a happily ever after without children? Why can't they find fulfillment just being together, like how Aehako described to her when saying they're choosing to be mates. That was beautiful. The ending ruined it for me.marinassssss's review against another edition
