This was a pretty sad story. I wasn't sure where it was going in the beginning with her husbands brother.. That was a weird relationship. Overall it was a good story.

I'm blown away. Thank you.

This book was, well, WOW! I loved the mixture of devastating heartbreak, hotness and light comedic relief. You can see elements of lots of different writers' influence in Marley's writing all blending to form a unique voice, that at times is really poetic. The book flowed really well, and for a book to have me in tears from the beginning, something is right.
I loved the main characters, Lior for me was the perfect hero, managing to balance an element of Alpha with some serious softness.
I cannot wait to read more from this author.

Evie has been through so much tragedy in her life. I can't even imagine living through it. I enjoyed watching her learn to open again. And I loved Lior!

From the stunning cover to the emotionally heartbreaking storyline, Marley Valentine captivates your attention until the very last page.

The prologue for this book definitely set the tone for me. It was utterly heartbreaking and made me quite emotional. Evie's grief and feelings are so palpable and you experience each and every one of them. It was an incredibly beautiful read and one that will stay with me for a long time.

Devastate is an exquisitely written story that shows how one woman deals with the loss of the two most important people in her life. This story is the perfect combination of heartache, laughter, romance and love. I love how Marley was able to draw emotions from the very first page before we even knew the characters. Certainly not an easy task! I can't wait to read the next book by this extremely talented new author

Devastate hit a raw nerve for me. Evie a grieving widow and a grieving parent is in a dark place where there is no joy, no smiles and no hope. I've been in that dark pit where a smile feels like you are betraying the memory of the one you lost. I bonded with the character of Evie so much so that I could feel her smiles building, feel the warmth spreading and the butterflies emerging.

With the help of friendship from Court, support from Elliott and blooming love with Lior, Evie begins to heal. Devastate follows Evie as she moves from dark to light.

I thought it was well written and thought provoking. Definitely worth a read. Prepare to fall in love with Lior - his name sounds like Eeyore, and he's devastating wonderful in every way.
