A very short story and the prelude to an audiobook I've received for review, so I thought I'd better start at the beginning. Consisting of only 50 pages, this had the potential to be a full blown novel. And that was also my problem with it. There was so much going on, so many characters being introduced, I felt terribly confused and overwhelmed. There was domestic violence, racial tension, a hate to love story, rape, a car accident, bullying, affairs etc, etc.
