After the amazingness that was My Soul to Keep, I expected the love between Rhyson and Kai to be strong and passionate. And it definitely was. But there was a lot more conflict in this one. And I couldn’t give this one the same five-star rating because of how crazy Kai made me. She should have listed to San all along and just been honest with Rhyson. Of course he would have been upset, but the lie was even more of a betrayal, especially since she didn’t do anything wrong in the first place. I spent most of the book feeling like Genie from Aladdin, begging her to just come clean. And then it bothered me how it was so easy for her to hold a grudge, but she couldn’t take it. Storytelling-wise, this book was great, but it certainly did a number on my emotions.

The continuation of Rhys and Kai’s love sorry is filled with ups and downs. Both Kai and Rhys have some work to do in the trust department if they want to make this relationship work. Long distance, jealousy, and secrets could pull them apart, but is there connection strong enough to withstand these outside forces! (Well, yea. It’s a romance!) Y’all know Kennedy Ryan likes to break my heart and put it back together. It’s a strangely cathartic process that I look forward to every time I pick up one of her fabulous books

Hello I am done, and I love this book so much. Este libro es tan maravilloso, and I just hope that someday and I can find this kind of love porque se escucha tan maravilloso y tan doloroso al mismo tiempo, y yo solo quiero experience that freaking kind of love que hace todo Worth it. See you in the next book de la serie, y en mi 100 libro I am so proud and happy de me❤️

Devastated the book ended. Despite the HEA, I need book 3 for closure. What a ride. Ryan's books are always intense and captivating.

While I'm still having trouble with the fact that it took so long for me to discover this series, I'm kind of happy that it did because I didn't have to wait to find out what happens after Rhys and Kai left off in the first book. I dove right into this book the second I finished MSTK.
I didn't think it was possible to love them any more than I already did but I I really can't get me enough of Kai and Rhyson.
Yes, Rhys made a HUGE mistake and he needs to realize that he was wrong and earn Kai's trust back but it's so hard to stay mad at him for too long, right? I love that Kai doesn't hesitate to call him out of his behavior and that she doesn't put up with it for one second but she also understands that people make mistakes.
The way that Kai and Rhys communicate is probably what makes them such a fantastic couple and why I can't help but swoon over their relationship. I love how open and sure Rhys is about his love for Kai and that he has no doubts in who they are or how they are meant to be together forever.
Kennedy Ryan has written another fantastic story that will have you wiping your tears, clenching your fists and smiling for days on end.
While this series could end with Rhys and Kai's happy for now, I'm super excited to see what's in store for them in book #3, Refrain.

I really loved the first book but now reading the second book I wasn’t really invested into the story anymore. It was mainly because of the miscommunication trope that happened in this book it really upset me that they didn’t just talk about stuff. I would rate this 3.5 because I still loved their relationship and the BRISTOL AND GRIP CRUMBS.

MY HEART IS IN SHAMBLES
Y’all I’m so invested in these characters
If the last book was an emotional whirlwind ion know what this was because it was one hell of a rollercoaster
Oh my god
I can’t stop thinking about this book fr
These characters are beautifully flawed
We see them make mistakes and learn from them and we see them heal together/alone
It was an amazing experience honestly
This was soso real
And oml the amount of quotes I highlighted…. no words
I’m so in love with this series and I really don’t want to see it end (I’m gonna cry)
And I said it once and ima say it again…
Rhyson Gray is perfect
Freaking marry me bro

i was just getting too annoyed with Rhyson and his jealousy and how Kai handled that and other things. honestly i just had better things than to finish this book and the next one. Kennedy Ryan is a great author but this series just wasn’t it for me
