Savage Lover is a bit different compare to the first two books, I really like the progress of how the main characters come to like each other. Even though there’s not a lot of mafia activity on this story beside planning a bank heist.

Nero and Camille is giving a good girl x bad boy kinda vibes, they are totally polar opposites of each other.
I admire Camille’s character, she’s very brave, determined and love her family dearly that she’s willing to do anything for them.
I also love to see the other side from Nero’s bad boy personality, he’s so much more than that once we got to know him a little bit more in here.

Overall, it’s a good addition to the series although it’s missing the mafia elements a little bit but I was still able to enjoy this fast-paced romance with a bit of Fast & Furious vibes!

I received an advanced review copy for free through Netgalley, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. Huge thank you to the author and publisher!

“but i want to take all that passion and jealousy and obsession inside me, and i want to give it all to her. i want to give her the best of me, whatever that might be.” nero gallo, the man that you are. this is my favourite or the brutal birthright series so far. hands down.

The book had a more interesting plot, which was more complex than the first two books imo, but I found myself disinterested in some of the scenes. I feel like the two main characters had a connection, but there wasn't enough going on to convince me of their feelings for each other necessarily.

I also feel like we were left with a cliffhanger with the ending to some degree, I don't feel like all the ends were tied up.

This was my least favourite in the series so far. It was more contemporary than mafia and a slow-burn. For the MMC being described as "the neighbourhood psychopath" in the synopsis, this book was much tamer than I was expecting, and that let me down. There were also a bunch of spelling and grammar mistakes in the Kindle version. My ratings with this series have been going down as the books go on, which concerns me. I will be reading BLOODY HEART, though. Also, I read this in 24 hours, so there's that.

Firstly, this was no bully romance. Nero was promised to be a vicious psychopath, but he actually was pretty soft and sweet (for a mafia romance mmc).

I was expecting the plot lines to be more suspenseful and they had the promise to make an addicting story, but they fell a bit flat. Which on the other hand, made this a cosy and easy read.

Nero was kind of misogynistic and Camille was a typical I’m-not-like-other-girls-character (but more in a way that she was written from that viewpoint and intention, but Cam herself didn’t really have that attitude). The relationship between Nero and Camille developed kind of weirdly, I feel like it didn’t have enough time to develop and suddenly they just were together.

Overall an entertaining, easy and quick read, and pretty much what I hoped for going in!
