Blossom and Darren's story. Blossom is Rebel's (from Heartless Player) older sister and Darren was the bartender/manager of the Firken Bar.

I adored Darren and Blossom! I was not expecting this story when I began and now that I have finished it, it is my favorite book of the series!
Darren is still very traumatized from his past and the death of his wife in the past. He is still feeling a ton of guilt due to the past and about moving on with someone else. Blossom starts working at his bar and feels an instant connection but knows he cannot act on it due to his guilt. As a result, he creates distance and is standoffish toward Blossom.
Blossom takes Darren's moods and assumes he hates her. Blossom also felt a strong connection but neither of them acts on it for years.
Once they do act on it, there is still a ton of issues that Darren needs to work on for them to have a successful relationship, and the burning question is whether or not his fear will make or break this relationship.
