Five Shibari Tied Up and Blindfolded Stars

Unexpectedly, I really really liked this book to the point that I gave it five stars. There isn’t much angst or any complicated plot besides the actual love story but I still enjoyed it immensely. I think it was because I really liked both characters: Brand (37) and Jolie (22, I think).

Jolie is from Starry Creek, small town close to New Your, and she has recently finished an art school. Now, she works as an art assistant to the gallery owner in a private art gallery. Even though her boss treats her terribly and doesn’t pay her much, she is still very dedicated to her job. She is gorgeous, smart, funny, kind, loyal, though sassy and feisty. She is everything Brand wants.

Brand is a very successful billionaire who owns his own company named with his Christian name (“Brand”). He is very dominating in business, in his personal life, as well as in bed, which Jolie is destined to find out soon. He is kinky in BDSM kind of way. He likes his women bound, blindfolded, and gagged, and he likes to play with them. He is used to getting everything he wants, and what he wants now is Jolie. Even though Jolie hates him after literally colliding in him and crashing both their cars, she will soon find out that when it comes to Brand the resistance is futile.

My favourite quotes:
1)“I can't believe you fly up and down every day just to spend a few hours with me,” I say one night as the week of recovery draws to a close.

“I'd fly around the world for a few minutes with you,” he says.

2) “Baby, I don't live by what ifs. I fix what ifs when they come up, not before.”

So, if somebody comes across older gorgeous sexy kinky billionaires determined to satisfy and take care of you like Brand, please send them my way. I can definitely use one, especially if some of that “I don’t live by what ifs” philosophy will rub on me as well. I really need it.

DNF. I gave it 2⭐️ because up to the point of no return it hadn’t been a bad story. The reviews were mostly great. Then she had to go & kill it for me. I’ve discovered a new hard limit. 2 words, p**sy & mouth. Together. “P**sy mouth. Can’t. Just can’t. First time was forgiven, 2nd time...dnf.

I enjoyed the story! It's a quick read. There is an age difference between them but it never really becomes a big deal. Jolie has no issue with the age difference and Brand doesn't care either. He is just immediately drawn to Jolie and continues to pursue her. Jolie is flustered in how they meet, as their cars crash into each other. She makes it Brand's fault and doesn't let that go. She is immediately attracted to him as well but doesn't make a move on it. She denies it and doesn't trust what Brand is saying. Brand is dominant but he loves Jolie's fire. I liked their interactions and really enjoyed the story. The sex is not vanilla, there's some kink but nothing very over the top. I enjoyed the way the story flowed.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

So WOWZA...this was a bad Fifty Shades of Grey ripoff. You had the elevator scene. You had the helicopter. You had the tortured billionaire that never sleeps in bed with a woman and needs her to be restrained to have sex.

I have NO idea WHY I kept reading this thing. It was like watching a train wreck...
