I've read this before and gave it a much higher rating; however, this time, I felt that the plot was just a little too incohesive and the story overall was just so long. Certainly still compelling and interesting, but not a lasting favorite for me, unfortunately.

One of the best fairytale retelling I’ve ever read. Dark and gory, but not for the sake of gore. Does that make sense? Definitely going to read more of Brom.

I wanted to read a faerie tale, and boy howdy did I get one with this! This book is wonderful and dark and gave me the trippiest dreams as I read it. Highly recommended.
