This is another entertaining thriller by Mike Cooper. This one was much easier for me to get into than the first (Clawback) was.

I absolutely loved the subplot where Silas Cade was getting to know his brother, Dave. (We learned about Dave in Clawback, but it was a very brief mention; the two boys were separated shortly after Silas was born; Dave was only a year or two so they didn't know each other at all.) Their relationship was incredibly interesting but because of all of the other events going on (generally involving gunfire and explosions), it's not the bulk of the book. :)

One thing that Mike Cooper does incredibly well is make you care about the characters---especially Silas, but pretty much all of his cohorts, plus Dave and Dave's friends.

This is a fun book, and I'd be interested to see what trouble Silas gets into next. I'm pretty sure his life will never be boring.
