Once again a great book. It continues to deliver on the unnerving and creepy horror aspects, while finding a good balance with the more emotional aspect of this volume. The horror does take somewhat of a backseat as Sorawo tries to figure out her feelings for Toriko. In comparison to previous volumes, her reflection on their relationship makes up a major part of this volume.

It's satisfying to follow her as she gains clarity and finally acknowledges her feelings, considering she'd been trying to shaft them in previous volumes. Sorawo, Toriko and Kozakura grow a lot closer together, and you can tell all of them are finally getting over their personal hurdles. This volume feels like a great pay-off emotionally.

This is not a plot heavy volume but it does feature some pointers for future volumes and hints at Sorawos backstory. The little glimpses we get are already very intriguing, and the seeds for future developments are sown.

All in all, another lovely volume of Otherside Picnic.
