Cute, but didn't hold my interest.

Too much angst, not enough hockey. I liked Brody, but Kacie was far too frustrating for my liking. She was the definition of a damsel in distress who needs a man to save her, rather than saving herself. The twinkies were a sweet addition to the story, but they sometimes felt like a plot device, rather than actual characters.

I'm in the minority on this one I guess. I wanted to love this book and the set up could have been perfect if not for Kacie's character! I couldn't stand her ridiculous/unbelievable thought process. My Daddy and husband left me so now I can't trust this super hot, nice, romantic, and wonderful guy. I could have handled a bit of this behavior but not an entire book of it! UGH! My second issue is this was too long/boring as it was stretched way out to make way for....wait for it......a second book (I'll bet you saw this coming a mile away). This would have been kick ass if it were one book! I kept waiting for things to wrap up with Blair/Kendall. I kept thinking if Zach came back now it would be really interesting. Anyway, the author does write well and editing is good. I think the second book will be more up my alley but I just don't have the desire to continue. Not much sexy time either.....2 times over one weekend the entire book. It didn't feel the relationship was going anywhere!

I wasn't sure how I would like this book when I started it, but I surprisingly liked it. At times, I didn't like Kacie or Brody, but most of the time I liked their characters. I will definitely continue this series.

I am totally 100% in love with Brody. He is my #1 book boyfriend of all time. I'm pretty sure he is the sexiest, funniest, sweetest man in any book I have ever read. I love this book. I have had this on my kindle for a while but I wanted to wait until the next book in the series came out before reading it and I am kicking myself that Brody has been on my kindle all this time - I LOVE HIM!!!!! This book was amazing - the story was fantastic. Did I mention that I am in LOVE with Brody??? Wow! YUMMY! I am really obsessed with this book. I love it. Thank you Beth Ehemann for giving me Brody. Fantastic!

Wow. I am pretty sure everyone needs a Brody in their life. He is yummy. Kacie bugged me at points, but her indecision was somewhat understandable. I am glad I waited to read this until book 2 came out because holy heck I wasn't expecting that ending. This was nicely written and very enjoyable to read.

This was a sweet and comfy listen. I love a guy who falls for her children at the same time as he falls for the girl! These characters were great, Brody is a guy who sees what he wants and goes for it & Kacie is a strong women who is careful with her heart and puts her girls first. Brody made me swoon when things get though and he does and says all the right things. These two have great chemistry and are very realistic. They fell like friends you've known your whole life. With some love, romance, drama and laughs this books left me feeling happy.

The narration was perfect for this story. Both of them were perfectly cast and did an awesome job at bringing this story to life.

Probably closer to 4.5, but not sure. This is another one I had to buy as I was getting ready to color another page in the coloring book. It was a pretty cute read, although I did get a little irritated with the main character for how cautious she was. But fortunately her family and friends knew better than she needed to take the chance. And I really liked Brody. About halfway through she finally got accused of something that I was sure would have happened earlier by his friends or family, but it didn't happen and all of them were pretty cool with her as well. At least his real friends and family were. I also got irritated a bit with some of her self doubt, especially the 2nd time she let the same person cause it. It ends with a bit of a twist, and I'll need to go on to see where that will go next.

IF you want to see what I got done so far on the coloring page for this one, go to Lisa Loves Literature.
