Great book! The story may be fiction but speaks to the relationships of mothers and children, and the resilience of the human spirit. (The mini-series was pretty good too!)

Women giving birth makes my stomach turn. Maybe I AM immature...or maybe, like others don't care for blood, I just have issues with babies popping out of vaginas.
The book was a good historical fiction. It kept my interest...and allowed me to forget my surroundings, but the topic (midwife...) was maybe not the best choice for me. :) Yes, read it....it is an easy, fast read.

an interesting fictional realization of one of the many glorious women in the Bible that you really never hear about.

I suggest not reading the end of this book in public because it will make you cry so hard!

I loved this story. This is not my typical book and was not even on my radar until a friend mentioned it. Now I'm glad I have read it. The story of Dinah is happy, sad, and beautiful and completely worth the read.
