I didn't ask or want to be so invested in this series. It's kinda my fault I guess.
It's a personal problem 😔 - addiction to books, and the unfortunate effects of being a mood reader, really. These are so very Wattpad-like, it's unnerving. Not that I want to generalize all Wattpad stories, but yeah, you get it.

Look- I appreciate the overall story and the individual characters till now. The dialogues were swoon-worthy and straight-up corny, yet cliché...like always 🙄. I appreciate that a lot of thought was put into it. But, I DON'T appreciate the length of this story, and how some themes were handled at many, many places throughout this story. And, it's also slightly sexist, maybe?
I just think the storyline is going to: extremely predictable and trashy.
(Ironically, I have to take back what I said in this book's prequel, Connor is the most ordinary and sane character in all of these books. 😂)
I think I'm going to end it with this one.

Finally....
If I have to compare (before I talk myself of it, you know 😅. Don't judge 😭):
Gillow> Raisy> Coballoway > Lilo and...
In terms of character development: Connor>Garrison>Ryke> Lo...and... Willow> Daisy> Rose & Lily

Okay, I LOVE DAISY. We need more characters with ADHD rep. But Ryke- I know he felt bad about it, but he was such a pedophile. She was FIFTEEN when he started sexualising her. FIFTEEN.

However, there relationship seemed really healthy, for the both of them. It was very fluffy and angsty and fun

One star for Connor and Rose.
One star for Lily and Lo.
That’s it.

I don’t get how people can rate this book highly when Ryke literally admitted to liking Daisy when she was as young as FIFTEEN. Bearing in mind they have a seven year age gap. I read page 360 and fully almost DNF’d because there’s no way Krista and Becca Ritchie thought that was okay to write.

I was enjoying the book at first and was okay with their age gap because I thought he only started liking her after she turned eighteen — nothing illegal about that. But, as the book progressed their age gap made me more and more uncomfortable.

I cant lie, there were moments between Daisy and Ryke which I loved, but they all happened before he admitted to liking her when she was underage.

SOME PEOPLE SAY THIS IS THEIR FAVOURITE BOOK IN THE SERIES???? I have one question — WHY????? The authors basically normalise grooming. This makes me so sad because I absolutely adore every other book in this series before this one, I’m just going to forget this one exists and move on.
