Beauty and the Baller had everything I love in a romance.

fake dating
forced proximity
second chance romance
plenty of humor and enough angst to make my heart catch

While I’m not a fan of small town romances, this one was pretty cozy. Nova and Ronan were such well rounded characters and I immediately felt their connection to one another. The meddling townsfolk, the secondary characters - everyone added something special to this plot and I loved Beauty and the Baller even more for it!

If you love a hero who feels feelings but maybe doesn’t know what to do with them all the time, plus a heroine who has a backbone of steel and a vulnerable heart, you will absolutely love this book.

Tender and emotional, with the perfect amount of spice, this is an exquisite story of true love, and the role fate plays in a happily ever after. Highly enjoyable and definitely recommended!

CW: death of a loved one (off page), themes of grief and loss, cheating (secondary character).

Tropes: small town romance, fake dating, sports/football romance, fated mates

I really enjoyed this one! It was light, fun, and I will definitely read more from this author.

This books terrible title and cover do it a disservice. It actually dealt with heavy themes of love and loss, moving on, and feeling worthy, but is wrapped up in such a ridiculous package that I would have skipped it had I not been in the mood for something quick and fun.

This was so sweet. The themes of lost love and how one person can change your life were so great. Fuck Andrew.

3.75 stars - a pretty easy read, cute and funny overall with some romantic moments but also several cringy parts. I think I would’ve enjoyed this more if I was a bit younger, based of the writing and character personalities (and actions). I agree with a lot of other reviews’ critiques. I was satisfied with the ending but if I keep thinking about certain things I’m going to lower my rating more. Part of me was honestly more interested in Sabine & Toby developing in the background, so sweet and pure.
