I really enjoyed this story!

The way the two main characters, Eden and Ryder meet is a little different to the whole "online dating" thing. Made the story that much more interesting.

Fresh, fun and sexy as. Another amazing story by the brilliant Penelope Ward!

The girl was some kind of web cam pornstar, with a load of family problems. But the guy, Ryder, 28 yo handsome, rich, the son of some Hollywood movie studio CEO was unbelievable and pathetic. He couldn't connect with females around him (he could get any girl he wants), but found insta connection with the cam girl, and pays “tokens" for her to sing for him...on porn site?!? And then when she doesn't log on porn site for two days in a row, he finds her by googling the name of some diner she had it written on her tshirt a month ago...and goes and meets her in person ....Yeah, sure!

⭐️ 4 "Midnight Chats" Stars ⭐️
I always find myself fascinated by Penelope Ward’s plot twists. Love Online sounded so good when I first read the blurb, but it took a turn I wasn’t anticipating right from the start making this story even more interesting. The way the main hero and heroine meet was so unexpected and interesting.

"Love is supposed to feel like this - nonsensical, risky - even if the person makes the least sense logically."

Ryder and Eden’s unorthodox relationship was amazing! They meet online, but you feel the clear connection they slowly form every single time they interact. This book isn’t big on drama and that’s something I really enjoyed about it. It’s more about the beautiful growth of their sweet love story. They have some obstacles to overcome as in any relationship and they make their choices with maturity after some thinking.

"Life takes you in unexpected directions. There's good, and there's bad to that. Sometimes on a detour, you find what you need in the least likely of places. And then you wonder if that was the direction you were always meant to go."

I don’t want to tell you more about the story, because it’s best if you enter it blindly. Love Online is filled with emotions and is a lovely romance! It will surely make you swoon, but also chuckle from the amusing banters and blush with the sexy moments of passion between Ryder and Eden. It’s a very enjoyable read!

Loved it!

Well another Penelope Ward book finished. I absolutely adored this one! The book and the audiobook were both amazing! Ryder and Eden was an adorable couple but it was Ollie that stole my heart. His interactions with Ryder made me laugh out loud so many times. This was a really good one.

Such an unexpected, unconventionally love story. I didn't realize exactly how they met online, which was utterly surprising. The story worked, and I really enjoyed reading this book. Especially since I've read a lot of angsty romances lately, this was a nice break from the typical back and forth rollercoasters I've gotten used to lately.

However, like I said I didn't expect them to meet the way they did, and the fact that she continues to do it for the entirety of the story, even with her having a good reason it was a bit odd to me. Also as much as I liked them together it was just so unrealistic. This book is great for a quick read with basically no angst, but it's kinda middle of the road for me.

I enjoyed this story and the characters.
It was sweet with a twist.
I didn’t expect our heroine to have the kind of employment she did. It was extremely refreshing and added a little extra for me.
I enjoyed it more than I expected to. Well done!!

An unusual start

Talk about an unforgettable meet cute! This book is definitely for the more adventurous romance lovers. It's a tension filled journey fraught with intense chemistry, distance, and fears.

I found their beginning made it harder for a connection but hold on. No judges until you know the full story. Penelope Ward keeps you off balance throughout this sweet story.

Penelope Ward is one of my all-time favorite authors! I’ve read everything she has written and I don’t even read her blurbs anymore. I just automatically add everything to my TBR and then start stalking social media until I can get my hands on her next release. Love Online was everything I had hoped it would be and I honestly loved it from start to finish! It was just so good and I fell in love with all the characters in it!

Eden and Ryder met under unusual circumstances, with things starting out between them online and only knowing each other’s screen names. But as they slowly begin to spend more time talking and getting to know one another, they learn each other’s real names and the fact that despite not knowing each other in real life, the chemistry between them is the most addictive thing that either have ever felt. But when things change suddenly with Ryder finding a clue to the real Eden, he takes a chance and sets them on a course that could take their connection from online only to so much more.

I loved both Eden and Ryder. I was invested in them right away, and I loved everything about them from how they met to how things progressed. Penelope Ward is a genius with creating unique characters that always have different circumstances than I have read about before and that was definitely the case here. The chemistry between them was off the charts from the start, and I couldn’t get enough of them. This story was emotional and captivating, sucking me in from the very first page until the last.

Overall, I loved this book and highly recommend it! I have loved all of Penelope’s books, but I have to say that this one is one of my favorites of hers! The characters here were just so amazing and I felt just as connected to them as they were to each other. This story was sweet and emotional, but also had the steamy side that had me swooning for Ryder the whole way through. If you are looking for a great romance and story, this book is a must read!

Audiobook Review

This story was just okay for me — I didn’t love it; didn’t hate it. Ryder is super sweet and understanding. Eden is selfless. I think it comes down to the fact that I couldn’t believe her career wasn’t more of an obstacle in their relationship. Not a lot happens in the story, but there’s very little drama, and for that I was grateful. I also enjoyed their chemistry as a couple. Eden’s brother is a real gem, and I liked Ryder’s housekeeper as well.

I listened to the audiobook, and I must say that I was rather disappointed by Sebastian York and Andi Arndt’s narration. Ryder’s housekeeper is Hispanic, and both of them give a half-hearted attempt—at best—at a Spanish accent. It distracted me. For a professional narrator to not work with a vocal coach to produce a convincing accent is unacceptable in my opinion, and one of my pet peeves as a listener.
