I listened to this audiobook and it was fantastic. The cast was fantastic.
This story reminded me a lot of Fleetwood Mac.  No it is not the exact story but the overall vibe of the book.
My favorite part of this book was that it is such a poignant look at love.  Falling in love with someone and getting married isn't always the last time you fall.  Sometimes other people enter your life, unexpectedly and you have to make a choice.  Keep loving the person you promised forever to or take a chance on the other person you fell for.  It is possible to love more than one person at a time.
I loved that the women are strong, even when they are making terrible decisions.  They don't get pushed aside and they don't cave in to others.  Camilla's clear headed look at her relationship and her determination to make it work are amazing.  Not every relationship is an easy one and she saw her husband so clearly.  To have the conversation she has with Daisy was so ballsy.
Daisy is the ingénue we have all read about in rock and roll.  She is a stunner who has a painful past that she wants to escape.  She wants to be a star and she's determined to find her way there.
Billy Dunn wants to be a rock star.  He writes, he sings, he's charismatic.  It's his band even though it shouldn't be.  He's not good at letting anyone else have a say and he's not happy when Daisy shows up.

Daisy Jones & The Six brings more depth to classic rockstars that were wrapped up in drugs, sex, and music. Written interview-style, different perspectives of events are provided throughout the book and you can see how things affected everyone, particularly the actions of troubled Billy and Daisy. I enjoyed the focus on songwriting, relationships amongst the band members, and the hopeful ending. I definitely would recommend if you’re a fan of music from this time period!

i loved this book with my whole heart. i read it in 2 days and had to force myself to put it down. TJR is a magnificent writer. the characters were so complex and the story line was so well thought out. i wish it could’ve been longer to get more details of little parts of the story but even being 360 pages it was fantastic. i love the rockstar storyline, it was so interesting to have a mix of drama but also what it’s like to actually write an album and live in a studio. i think the author captured the writing and recording process really well for not being a musician. she was able to interweave the characters and the different plots so well with the interview format, the same format made for a quick and easy read. oh how much i loved this book and wish i could read it over again.
