Very different from what I usually read, but definitely lived up to the hype. Highly recommend the full-cast audiobook.

Content warning: themes/temptation of cheating and infidelity, frequent drug and alcohol abuse, alcoholism, abusive/abandoning parents

Amazing truly, i’ve never seen an author write a story in this way and i don’t think i can describe right now what kind of feeling this book evokes in you.

I enjoyed Evelyn Hugo, Malibu Rising, and Carrie Soto so I thought I should check this out because I'm still craving for tea

First of, this was a fun book in a format I really enjoy. Also enjoyed the setting and just vibing along to the events and the discrepancy between each character's version.

However, I was expecting something really hard core, because this was the rock and roll scene!! People crashing and burn.

There was so much build-up as you read trying to figure out how this up and up band abruptly ended. And the climax fell flat in the face of that build-up. Maybe that's the point, but even then, the whole thing just didn't feel as gritty as I was expecting.

Maybe I would have enjoyed this more if I read this as an audiobook but I feel like this was too short and vanilla for what it was trying to depict. Yeah there was some serious drug abuse going on but, I don't know, I just didn't get the sense of the consequences enough.. I don't know how to describe it. Just that, even though some of what was happening was really messed up, the writing made it feel bland.

All in all though, it was still a fun read

Incredible. It is so special to pull off several multi-dimensional characters and their complex relationships while keeping the reader invested. On top of that, it’s written in an interview-style format that shouldn’t work but absolutely does!  It’s one of my favorite books I’ve ever read. Looking forward to reading more from Taylor Jenkins Reid.

Good book, I simply didn’t really like the relationship between Billy and Daisy. I feel like we’re supposed to be routing for them but I just couldn’t get on board with the almost cheating of it all. And what Camilla does for them in the end just feels weird.

I was fortunate enough to experience this book as an audiobook, and the voice acting was supreme. It really gave each and every character a distinct personality and layers. The book is simply amazing, I felt part of the story. The narration is so vivid, it moved me in so many different ways. Don't get me wrong, most of the characters are assholes, in their own specific selfish brand of assholeness, but, they are so realistic, lovable and vulnerable because of that. I cannot wait to read more books from this author.
