The biggest struggle I had in enjoying this is obviously that Billy is married throughout this whole thing. It's a story about a rock band back in the day so there will clearly be some wild shit but I just absolutely despise cheating plots and struggled a lot with that part of this story. Especially because Camilla was such a lovely person and wonderful friend. It was hard to read, but I know that this author loves to write hard to read stories. I have mixed feelings on this one for sure, but I know most people would and will love it.

I highly recommend reading the audiobook version as I think I found myself more immersed, knowing their voices (seeing as it’s a rock & roll band story) plus with so many characters, knowing their voices helped significantly.
It’s a story of a band in the 1970s that lived the rock & roll lifestyle, what they got up to, how they sky rocketed to fame and towards the last 15mins where they were now. I really believed that the main focal of this story was on Daisy Jones, one character and the rest would play secondary, but this was not the case at all.
All characters got the same amount of air time and their stories were all as important as Daisy’s. Very well written, I don’t know how she wrote it the way she did but it was done amazingly.
The writing technique was an interview of the band and Daisy Jones, but it was so well written that it didn’t feel like it was a simple interview and a “where are they now” story, Taylor Jenkins Reid took you on the journey of The Six and Daisy Jones, even Simone’s (Daisy’s best friend) story was finished and rounded nicely.
Another amazing read from Taylor Jenkins Read! This is the 2nd book I’ve read by her, the first being The 7 Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, any Recs for which I should read next by this Author?
