I enjoyed the story. I feel like it dragged on a bit and could have been maybe 50 pages shorter. That being said I will probably continue on to read the story of Lovie in the next book.

3.5 stars. Family dramas aren’t one of my favorite genres, but this book was a pleasant surprise. It was a quick and easy read, with likable characters and a decent ending.

Great summer beach read. Predictable but enjoyable with a southern charm.
