I was a little iffy about this book because I wasn't too keen on Lee. He isn't a guy that strikes me as long-term relationship type of man. He wasn't serious and joked way too much in the third one.

While reading this book, I realized it was a front.

Wow.

The Cross brothers went through so much and deserved good in their lives. I felt so much for them!

I liked Karla from the get-go! She was spunky and just wonderful! AND SHE'S A COP!

Lee really grew on me because of how sweet he was and his dedication to his family was a sight to behold. He also was REALLYYYY FUNNY and so, so sooooo charming!

Each Cross brother was so different from the other. L.H. Cosway wrote them in such a way that each man stood out for different reasons. I can't wait to read more of this wonderful family. However, I wish this was part of a new series since it was lacking a bit of the originality from the previous three. There was no tricks or magic or circus which made their absence VERY apparent. For me, that aspect of the precious three is what made this series sooooooooo unique and wonderful!

Putting that aside, it was still a good book and I loved entering the world of parkour and a different side of darkness that wasn't seen in the previous books.

I CAN'T WAIT FOR STU'S BOOK!!!!

...thought I'd throw that in there! ;)

The author has trouble building characters.

She makes one female officer rigid and that automatically makes her a Nazi. Please let your facts! Being anal doesn't make you a Nazi. It means you are anal, rigid, follow the rules.

The author made 2 such references and that turned me off the book.

If it was any other thing, she would have edited the offensive idiotic reference, instead, she helps humanize the Nazi's and their atrocities.

Hearts of Blue has a Romeo and Juliet feel to it without all of the deaths thank god. You might've gotten the feel to it when you read the blurb, but it's similar to the storyline based on the forbidden romance. Karla, aka Gingersnap through Lee's eyes, is a cop who has feelings for Lee. It causes problems because Lee and his family have done some questionable things in the eyes of the law. There is such a strong attraction between them that's very had to ignore. While you're reading you might think will they? Or won't they?

I loved this book so much and would not wish a thing about it was different. LH Cosway is one of my absolute favorite authors who can never write a bad book in my eyes. This book is another accomplish of that. I really liked the main characters in the Hearts of Blue. Karla was incredibly strong and independent. Lee and Karla were similar in the way that they were very compassionate. Lee mainly towards his family and then Karla, while Karla feels that way towards everybody. Which is why she became a cop to help people. It nice that there's people who like to help complete strangers out of the kindness of their heart like she does. I wish more people would do that in the real world.

This book is part of a series, but can be read as a standalone. The story was told in first person through the heroine's POV.

I seriously love this series, and this book was no different.
Karla and Lee are complete opposites. She is the law and he is a criminal, a relationship can never work between them. But you can't help who you fall for and that's what we see in this book.
I love Lee and Karla together, they are perfect. They have this chemistry between them, but they also get on with each other.
I fell in love with these characters and each of the Cross brothers. I'm secretly hoping each of them gets a book.
One of my all time favourite series' ever!

I loved it! This book is awesome in so many ways. I loved how witty the characters were and how they interacted, especially Lee and Karla. I can't wait for the next two books. I love this author and her amazing stories.

The thing I love the most about LH is I can always count on her to deliver a great read! Heats of Blue was just that, a great read!! The pacing is perfect and never boring. The characters are fun and well fleshed out. This is a bit of a forbidden romance between a woman sworn to uphold the law and a man who doesn't mind breaking it! Every book in this series just gets better and better!!!
