This was an interesting read. It definitely delivered on the celebrity dating trope with insights into Jake's life as a world famous musician. There's everything from Jake working on new songs and preparing for his upcoming tour to dealing with the overbearing media. Lexi's culinary background and job at her restaurant were interesting to read about. However, I wish we got to see more of this side of her life. Additionally, I enjoyed Lexi's overall character growth and her journey towards prioritizing her dreams. In terms of the romance it was cute but I found it to be a bit too much like insta-love which took away from my enjoyment. Unfortunately, the pacing also felt a bit off in terms of plot points and how fast their relationship progressed. All in all, I enjoyed my time reading this book but would have liked the relationship and plot to be a bit more developed.

This was a cute read - especially if you like an insta love between an aspiring chef and rockstar hopeful.

While I really enjoyed Jack and Lexi together, her insecurities and stubbornness (while I understood) made me feel like Jack was too good for her, and I didn't get as much of a connection between them as I would have liked.

I would have loved to see a bit more of what was happening during their time apart to better understand who the characters had become and how they could grow together. There was just some development missing that I would have loved to see.

The side characters added some humor and the banter between Jack and Lexi made me smile, a lot. Overall a really cute and quick read.

I had problems with this book from chapter 1. She’s a culinary student but didn’t TASTE what she cooked before presenting it to her teacher??? I would never serve something I didn’t taste first.
Then she threw me off by saying she wasn’t much of a ‘music type of person’. Ok???
The dialogues between the FMC and her girlfriends were sooooo cringy. They’re 24 and they talk like they’re 15.
And the insta love

3.5⭐️ You know I love a celebrity rom-com! Jake and Lexi are as cute as they come. I loved both of them chasing their dreams, but the last few chapters of Lexi’s insufferable doubt started to annoy me.
