I listened to the audiobook, and that's honestly the only reason why I finished it so quickly (my focus is literally on nowhere to be found....)

Anyways, this book is marketed as academic rivals to lovers, and if you're looking for a cute romance that will make you squeel, this book isn't it.

The themes of friendship and family and feminism are quite interesting, especially since it's portrait in a high school setting.
The romance honestly felt more like a side plot, which I didn't mind after a while.

But I would recommend this book if you're more in the mood to think than giggle with a romance book.

I loves this book!!! It was an amazing read and I hope to own this book to support the author. I loved how through a YA character from immigrant family was used to delve into the concept of feminism and the story about immigrants. I juts loved this book!!!

As someone who worries about being unlikeable, I totally relate to Eliza. She seemed like a very real and believable character to me.

The romance subplot was fully giving academic rivals-to-lovers as I hoped, but it was still enjoyable and Len and Eliza were very sweet together!

I love this book and I somewhat resonates with the female lead personality because I am kind of like her. But what shocked me is that I thought it is just a cute teenage romance but for some reason it also has a deeper meaning into it.

Too much feminism. May have liked this book in a different mood but i wasnt here for the feminism, i was here for the acamedic rivals to lovers part. Also, i dont get the fmc. It didnt necessarily have to do with sexism that she wasn't chosen for that post. It seemed kinda excessive tbh. I got some major second hand embarassment at some points.
