Substanzlos, langweilig, nervig. Red Flags überall, gepaart mit Unsicherheiten und Naivitäten. Wurde das Buch nur um der Erotik Willen geschrieben?

So this book, like any really, won’t be for everyone. But it sure was for me!

This is a surprising and addicting modern day take on Robin Hood and I was here for it. I devoured this book - and that ending!!!
It had all the things I love - suspense, mystery, tension, and spice; not to mention enemies to lovers, and morally grey bad boys/anti-heros. Needless to say, I was invested.

I loved the cast of characters, especially the sunny vs stormy personality contrast between Sean and Dominic. Cecelia is a good FMC - she’s young (19) but I liked her

I swooned, I got angry, I worried, and my heart was both full of love and broken. This book gives you some things to think about. Loved it all.

“You catching feeling for me, pup?”
Yes, yes I am!

hahaha, I'm in danger.

NO BUT SERIOUSLY?? I knew what I was getting into with After but THIS this is something else.

Heart-pounding intrigue with the most trashy of toxic men. AND NOT IN A SEXY WAY. Like they are children. Literal children that are bullying this poor girl and trying to make up for it with oral sex.

Oh, it is absolute trash. And as a self-proclaimed Racoon Reader, I love trash. This was so much fun and eye-popping like, does anyone actually ever behave like this?

No.

Because that would be insane.

But at the same time, I really want a part of the Ravenhood!!! I want to go to parties that didn't happen and commit crimes that will never exist! These boys are insane but if not for them, I would most definitely be joining up and will most definitely be reading these books when I need an A-Palm of dopamine.

I would really like to give this book 4.5 stars. I struggled to get into it at first and really was not sure if I liked Cecelia. I found her to be very naive and just not a very interesting character. However, as the story went on, I grew to like her because I enjoyed how Sean got her to make her own decisions for her. I love Sean a lot, however, I ended the book extremely mad at him. I liked Dom and there were specific scenes with him and Cecelia that I straight adored. However, I am currently mad at him as well. But that ending 🤯 time for the next one….

Many reviewers state to go in blind to this book, and I think that is correct to a certain degree. What one needs to know is this is a often times bizarre retelling of Robin Hood. If you don't know that, you'll be plodding through, utterly confused and wondering what exactly the point is.

As I said, this book is bizarre at times, confusing, and even frustrating. In order to keep up the suspense, Kate Stewart gives us NOTHING to go on, just like our heroine...but that is to the detriment of the novel, as one begins to wonder what exactly is going on, and hoping the pay off is enough.

Is it? I'm unsure. This whole reading experience was strange, as I devoured the book...and I'm wavering between a 4/5 star rating. There's plenty I don't care for here, but at the same time this was such an experience that by the cliffhanger ending, I was howling with laughter and screaming at the sheer audacity of this book.

Onto the sequel!
