Sloane moves to Florida from New York and becomes involved in a close knit group of friends. Two of those friends are twins Gabs and Vera. When a painting by the twins’ late mother goes missing, Sloane takes it upon herself to bring it back to the twins. She started on the journey feeling like the twins needed her to do this for them, but what she doesn’t realize is how much she needs them to help her in return.

I love Emma Mills for her friendships and This Adventure Ends was no exception (in fact it might be my favorite of hers so far??) it’s just so wholesome and good and relatable...

Not every book has to have an epic romance or wild adventure and Mills’ novels continue to be refreshing, enjoyable reads that leave me with a smile on my face and my heart a little lighter.

I love these characters so much! Sloane, Vera, Frank Sanger - Just too many to choose from. I laughed so hard in Starbucks people probably thought I was insane. I don’t care - I loved this book!

“Dreams don't have to be realistic- that's why they're dreams. You have to work to make them happen. Or else they would be...realities”

Vote: 3.75🌟.

What I liked:
- I really found the story interesting and a little different from others ya.
- The protagonist, Sloane. She is funny and sincere (even if sometimes a little too much), also she is really fast with words.
- How the family is represented in the book. They are unite, even if sometimes they fight and of course they aren’t perfect.
- The friendship that is created during the book. It is really sweet.
- The love story. It is a really slow burn, but you cannot not ship them from the start.
- The ending, I found it really satisfactory even if not all the problems were solved, but this is life.

What I didn’t like:
- The motivations of the protagonist at the start. She is really a solitary person and then in one moment she decided to do this big thing for people that she has just met.
- Some secondary characters are really important in a moment and then in the next one they don’t even seem part of the story.

At the end it is a cute book, perfect in a moment that you just need to distract yourself.

Cosa mi è piaciuto:
- La storia in generale;
- La protagonista. Mi piace la sua scioltezza con le parole, è una ragazza simpatica e sempre sincera, alcune volte fin troppo;

I don't know why I've become such a softie for wholesome friendship groups lately but this book was precious. I absolutely flew through this book and it had everything I'd want in a young adult contemporary.
