Ok, technically this one is a series. BUT you don't need to read the Private novels in any particular order. Nor do you have to read them all. Case in point, this is the first one set in Private's new India office.
Private India is dealing with a serial killer who may be in the market to harvest human organs. A shocking premise and one I can certainly find interest in. My initial take on the Private India characters was that they were a little dry. I found more to like about them as the story went on, but I'm not overly invested in them. This tends to be a theme in Private novels. Patterson seems to want us to forget about the various detectives he uses in favor of remembering Jack (the owner of the Private industries and guest star in the books). My problem with that, as you may know from previous book reviews, is that I'm not actually a fan of Jack. But I enjoyed this book for the way it would down after the climax. I enjoyed the ending and I enjoyed the suspense. It took a lot of build up to get there, but hang in and you'll like it.

Not much to say. Another book in the Private series.

First off I would give this 2.5 stars, working my way through the private series hence this one was next on the “list”. This one was so hard to get through, it felt repetitive and lacking in the fast paced action that I have found the Private series to be. It dragged on and once the “villain” is reviled it seemed to just end obviously there was some drama but I guess the ending for me fit the pace of the book. Definitely my least favorite Private book, I was NOT on the edge of my seat with this one, I was just trying to get through it to mark it off my list and move on to the next one.

Next Private entry still feels like it is ticking all the formula boxes list to a large extent, but it is saved by theist act.
Again even though it is set in a different county it all feels like the same nation in Patterson-world.

The Private Series is not just about crime and mystery solving. The series also introduces the readers to different countries and cultures.
Private India solved some of the most horrific crimes in the Private Series. I love this team and I'm hoping to read more about their stories.
