Generally average in terms of the Riordan-verse. Elevated from the last one for me because I was excited to have Piper & Grover back!! But I honestly thought Jason’s death was just…uneventful. In HOO he was my least favorite POV and I was never that attached to him and even so, I just think he deserved better. I think it’s starting to really come together for me now though and I’m excited for the final climax of the series.

I read this just over a month ago and I feel even more strongly about this now than I did before — MY BOY DESERVED BETTER.
