tytuł to jeden wielki scam bo książka nie jest o Tadeuszu nie mówiąc już nawet o Panu. początek nudny, końcówka nadrabia plot twistem który każdy myślący człowiek przeciwdział. bohaterowie nie maja w sobie nic interesującego może z małym wyjątkiem Telimeny. #balladynalepsza ALE SZCZERZE? nie najgorsza lektura mogło być gorzej (naprawde)

Szczerze, ta książka jest całkiem niezła jak ominiemy te wszystkie opisy krzaczorów to nawet wciąga. Wątek romansu z Telimeną i baraszki wśród mrówek

A liked this book very much, but I would have preferred not to have to read it at school. Our teacher told us to focus on the details and not on the story, because the questions would be on that. So when I was reading I was stressed I would not notice something, and so I reread nearly every line.
I'm sure it would have been a great pleasure if I would have read it for myself, without having to think that I'll have to answer the questions of a test about it...
I did like the story and the way it was written. I read it in the original language (polish) so I don't know how it was in the translation, if it was just as beautiful.

Book II: The Castle
“Oh!” cried the Count, hands raised, “I knew at once
I liked these castle walls—I’d a sixth sense!
I’d no idea, though, quite how rich they’ve been
In drama, what thrilling incidents they’ve seen!
I’ll seize the castle back—you’ll be installed
As the commander—burgrave, you’ll be called.
Your tale, Gerwazy, captured me outright.
Too bad you didn’t bring me here by night—
I’d sit wrapped in a cloak among the stones
And you’d tell stories rife with blood and groans.
Too bad you’re not a gifted raconteur!
I’ve read quite widely in such literature.
Each English or Scottish lordly castle, or
Each German Graf’s estate, has slayings galore!
There, every wealthy noble family
Has some dark tale of death or treachery
Then vengeance entrusted to an ancestor.
I’ve never heard a Polish case before.

Pradžia tikrai nebuvo pati įdomiausia, bet kaip skaitytoja po truputį prisitaikai prie rašymo stiliaus ir prie to, kas yra ši knyga ir važiuoji toliau. Kas buvo netikėta, tai knygoje yra nemažai humoro ir satyros. Man patiko, kiek daug buvo rašoma apie Lietuvą, matyt, Mickevičius tikrai mylėjo mūsų žemes. Be to, buvo tikrai įdomu pajausti tuometinį laikotarpį. Apie jį žinau tikrai mažai, nors ir teko mokytis per istorijos pamokas.
Visai linksmų plaučių buvo lenkų šlėktelės.
"Bet štai šlėktelė - jis, nutaręs nesutikti,
Kaip matot, atvirai parodo savo pyktį:
Išvertęs veizolus, jis reiškia savo valia,
O išsižiojęs - rods, prarytų visą salę!"
