As many of you undoubtedly know, fake dating is basically my favorite trope. So I was going to pick up this book anyway, because I absolutely adored the first one and the anxiety rep was so on point, but once I found out it entailed fake dating? LOOK OUT, WALLET, HERE I COME. Reader, I preordered it. Then I requested it on NetGalley because I wanted it sooner and knew I would love it.

I was correct; I loved it.

I didnt enjoy this book as much as the first. Max and Grady were nice together but I think that is why I didnt like it as much. There didnt feel like there was a whole bunch of conflict between the two and they just fell into this great relationship out of nowhere. idk

I received an arc from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I will say this falls into what you'd expect from a fake dating romance. I did really enjoy it, and I really liked the couple in this story, and they did have a good amount of chemistry. It wasn't exactly anything stand out or special but for what it was, I did like it. Something that I felt was a little weird though that despite Max saying he won't have sex with Grady because he felt it'd be borderline prostitution, he initiated sex the first night they were at Grady's father's house. That felt like it came out of nowhere. I haven't read the first book, but I might. I did like the authors writing style.
