Listened to the second book of The Inheritance Games thanks to @audible. I think I enjoyed this one more than I liked the first one. There were lots of twists and turns that I wasn’t anticipating. I also found myself getting sucked into the love triangle of Avery, Jameson, and Grayson (couldn’t decide who she should be with!). I’m not sure how the third book will fit in because this book wrapped everything up pretty well, but I’m excited to get to the next one!

i started reading this book right after i finished the first novel & was so excited about it but it kinda let me down. not only was it really slow till the very end, but i also lost interest. further the ending was really confusing. i want to continue the series because i want to know how it ends but this was just not it.
ps: this felt like a way better we were liars

I knocked this book out in one day. I thought I was sucked into the Hawthorne world in the first book but dang Jennifer really said “Have a seat. You won’t want to leave.” In the beginning I was kind of unsure because I thought I had guessed the truth to everything when one of the big twists came out. But then they just kept coming and I realized I had been wrong. This book threw me through so many emotional loops and had me laughing and crying at the same time. Truly a masterpiece. The twists, the attention to detail without it making it overbearing to read, the character development. All of it so good!
