I was honestly expecting a bit more from this since it was edited by Ann Vandermeer. I think I might have liked this more asa full length, but as a short it sort of felt like making Kujo or Pet Semetary into a sci-fi flash.

This was a 4 star read until the ending. It was a little too meh compared to the rest of the story. I liked the weirdness of the story, but the ending reminded me of a Stephen King ending, that is to say a little too underwhelming.
