I enjoyed this book as I have the entire series. I think this was a great ending to this series. Sophronia ended up with the right young man in my opinion. I like that she mostly stood on her own and finished her schooling in her own unique way.
I only wish we'd gotten more of her friends, Dimity and Agatha, in the story. I'm glad that some of the other characters like the headmistress did finally get fleshed out though.
Overall quite enjoyable and a great end to the series.

I also loved that Miss Geraldine herself was in on everything all along and NONE OF THE STUDENTS KNEW. So good. And she adopted Handle in the end so he could go on to become a doctor! So sweet!
It's such a lovely bittersweet end to the school years of these fantastic intelligencers, and I can't wait to pick up the Parasol Protectorate series after I let my brain decompress and detox from these high-flying adventures!
Moderate: Death and Suicide
Minor: Racism
