One of my top reads of the year. I laughed, I cried, and then I cried again. Exceptional characterization. The thriller plot twists and turns wet immaculate. At no point did I ever think someone was acting silly or unrealistic or immature. I cannot recommend this enough.

Very dark themes. Trigger warnings for on page content.

So much suspense. It’s giving an episode of Law and Order. Josie was kidnapped and raped by someone she considered a friend.

I DEVOURED this book. The first book I’ve read by Mia Sheridan and shes made a good first impression!!! This book was finally one of those crime thrillers that actually had me stressedddddd and freaked out, at one point I actually had a visceral reaction like eyes watering n everything!

There were some elements I personally found slightly too far-fetched but I think the general storyline managed to build a lot of suspense. I also like how Josie was written; sometimes authors can give their victims huge victim complexes and moments where we’re meant to feel sorry for them end up making me find them really annoying but I actually liked Josie’s character and felt sad of her so many times

Crazy good

OK, so I read this book in like a day because I couldn’t put it down not even for a minute. I’m also disappointed because I wish I could’ve stretched it out but kudos for keeping my attention because dayyyum! The suspense was insane, I thought I had the twist figured out, but nope… I wasn’t right. So good !!!!

4⭐️ Tragic & beautiful. I really didn’t expect that. This is more suspense than romance but it’s still enjoyable
