Absolutely enthralling and one of the best plays I have unfortunately never had the chance to see performed. I read this in a drama development class, and we were only assigned to read Millennium Approaches - I went out and got Perestroika as soon as I was finished.

Leiam este livro, vejam a série.
É verdade que é um livro potente sobre o VIH Sida, mas é - igualmente - um incisivo retrato da política e da sociedade norte-americana nos anos 80.

I really loved the movie but liked the reading the play less...probably because it's harder to follow as text

Wow yes I think I liked this? Wildly ambitious but it works pretty well. I’m not sure I understand everything but I do think I really quite liked

As a theater major, it was a little embarrassing that it took me this long to read this play. However, once I started it, I could not put it down! I read it in one night, and I cried throughout most of the second half. The characters felt so real and I knew someone like almost every single one of them. If you haven't read this play, you should do so immediately!!
