Thereβs a lot of lying and disobeying of the dad in this book. Not my favorite in the series.

A little repetitive and predictable but I did not expect to be surprised by the ending! :)

-POTENTIAL SPOILERS-
This was really cute! Ignoring the obvious namesake implications, I really enjoyed reading about how this family got started. I liked how Elizabeth was really headstrong and courageous, yet was still kind, like when she decided to send her food to a poor Irish family. However, unlike in the first two books, I was unable to guess the outcome of the mystery, which I liked, and there weren't really very many descriptions of Victorian life. They're mainly inside their manor, which is a shame.
The book also doesn't really describe how their colors got switched and how nobody could tell them apart. All we see is people unable to tell them apart because they jokingly switch places, but that doesn't explain how the necklaces got switched.
