This book was genuinely a masterpiece. I would say it was more of a slower book but the emotion and storyline was amazing.

After reading this one, I really wish I’d read it before If Only He had Told Me. As far as young adult novels go, I think they’d really connect to this material. I can see a lot of young people feeling some modicum of relief that they aren’t the only ones to (fill in the blank).

I had seen many tik toks about this book so I had high expectations. I kinda already had an idea of how it ended going into it. However I felt the last 50 ish pages of the book felt extremely rushed, whereas the rest of the book dragged on. It took me soooooo long to get through the first half of the book because of how slow it was. If the book’s pace was a lot faster, I probably would’ve given it 5 stars. Overall worth the read tho.

 DEPRESSING.

“Can’t sad things be beautiful?”

Yes… but it still hurts. Booktok made me read this. 4 stars because it was well written but honestly I wish I had skipped this one. I should have known better. From chapter 1 I knew this book was going to hurt and it did. The whole thing was painful, in a beautifully written way. I want to scream into the void and eat a pint of ice cream now.
