Meeting the Characters
Tessa Sullivan

Xander
Julian

----------------------------------
What happens?
Tessa is a deaf ex-figure skater. She lost her hearing thanks to a menigitis infection which stole her hearing before they cured her of the illness. She believes she cannot skate anymore as she cannot hear the music, her ex fiance had made it clear that she was only half a woman and so she avoids anyone getting close to her working herself to the bone by working three jobs when she doesn't need to.
Micah has been looking after his youngest brother Xander who witnessed their parent's murder. His doctor advised Micah to get away and have a break because of his migranes. They meet when Micah walks into the house he just bought with Tessa undressed in the bathroom. He isn't aware she is deaf and so makes a little bit of a fool out of himself.
Final thoughts
This was nice. Very sweet and I liked both characters. Micah is nice to Tessa and treats her properly. However it was a little boring in parts because nothing happens, there is no big issue they sort of float along on a happy cloud of romance and while its a nice read in that respect there isn't a lot to keep you reading aside of the romance.

I've loved every single one of J.S Scott a Books after finding her last summer. I'm gutted I didn't like this I mean the characters were nice but I found it very repetitive I just didn't like it at all. Nothing against the characters I completely understand Tessa's trust issues and Micah's health issues as I suffer from migraines too and they are the devil. But I don't know can't put my finger on it. But it was a complete miss for me.

I'll admit I wasn't crazy about Micah at first. He wasn't as bold or as arrogant or as semi annoying as his Sinclair cousins were. And I thought that would've made me like him more. But he was kind of boring at first. But this story tugged my heart. I got a little teary on more than one occasion. This was more of a love story, where we saw them fall in love, more than the other stories, where the guy was inexplicably and against his own better judgement obsessed with his woman. All have happy endings, but I feel we got to experience the falling in love aspect more with Micah and Tessa. As with the other books, the next love story was introduced and I can't wait to see what's in store for Julian and Kristin. And hopefully see light at the end of the tunnel for Xander.

I was so looking forward to Micah & Tessa's story and it didn't disappoint. There is chemistry between them from the point Tessa sees Micah naked in the shower and then he catches her naked in the shower.

Tessa was an Olympic skater but had to retire after going on a hike, collapsing as a result of viral meningitis and losing her hearing. Her fiance dumps her due to her no longer being perfect enough and not long after that she also loses her parents.

Micah has been forced into a hiatus from his extreme sports by his doctor due to getting really bad migraines again brought on by stress fro managing his dive company, his sports and trying to look after his out of control rock star brother Xander who has gone into a depression after being injured while witnessing the death of their parents during a home robbery.

Tessa receives an invite to a skating reunion from the Sinclair Fund, which she is reluctant to do due to how long it's been since she skated.

Micah has bought a lot of land in Amesport including the old skating rink which he reopens and makes functional for Tessa to practice in after he talks her into putting on skates again.

Throughout this you start getting introduced to the couple in the next book Julian & Kristen

Devoured this book almost immediately after I started reading it. Can't wait for the next Sinclair story and I'm currently hoping for Tessa and Micah's crumbs there.

Deducted half a star because it feels like the ending is quite rushed. Still enjoyed it and I loved it.

This has been my favorite Sinclair story so far! I truly adored Micah and Tess’s story. A workaholic for his extreme sports equipment company, Micah is ordered to take time off to rest and recuperate by his doctors and makes his way back to Maine to relax. With the giving, open heart, and dominant ways of all of the Sinclair men, Micah won me over in a heartbeat. After losing her hearing, Tessa now works and helps run her family‘s restaurant with her older brother. Though years ago, she might have gone down a different path as a past Olympic champion figure skater. Unbelievably sweet but extremely hard on herself, Tessa is one of my all-time favorite heroines. I attached myself to her immediately, she is sassy and will tell you where to go if you piss her off. Just like Micah, she won me over in a second.

This is the story about strength, overcoming fears, loss and taking risks no matter the outcome. J.S. Scott really did it again this time! This book kept my attention the entire time and I couldn’t wait to see how it ended. This is beautifully written and such a great story to connect with. I honestly think that this is the best book in the series so far. You truly see the growth and strength between these two characters. It was such an unbelievably touching story and made me want to read more about them. It’s sweet, it’s sexy and it’s heartwarming. I highly recommend this ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ star read!

Very good books loved it. Strong 3.5 stars. Could have been 4 but some parts were just unnecessary and a bit boring. Nonetheless, what Tessa showed was true growth. Beautiful growth and I loved it.
