I just couldn’t get into this book. The storyline was dull. It’s not even a slow burn, there just no real thriller or excitement. The paranoid wife and a murder should be a decent enough story but I had to force myself to finish this one only to see if it would eventually get better. It didn’t.

Self-help author Bryn Harper has moved in with her long distance relationship husband of 2 years, after a car accident left her in a vulnerable state of mind.
However shortly after moving in, a women they hired to cater a dinner party turns up murdered. Scared and confused Bryn tries to figure out who did it.
The writing of this was rather poor, and it seemed to be the author's first attempt at a mystery/thriller. (Spoiler alert: there wasn't much thrill) There were many details that were made out to be super important, but ultimately we're brushed under the rug, fairly insignificant. The ending was also rushed and didn't make much sense.

I was not a big fan of this book and it moved along very, very slowly. There was an interesting plot twist at the end, but was certainly not worth the long build up. Additionally, I found most of the language and characters themselves to be fairly cheesy and lacking. While it wasn't the worst book, it certainly wasn't my favorite and would not recommend.

Not good. The climax of the book was predictable and teased from page 5. Not worth the time.
