This book was strangely difficult for me to read. Not because of the themes, although I’d recommend reading trigger warnings, but because it was weirdly slow paced. Or maybe I was in a reading slump? I don’t know. I think I enjoyed it. I don’t like the ending but I suppose it says something. Solid meh

Writing really transported me to a different place and time. Found myself relating to the narrator at some points, while simultaneously appalled with his behaviour at other times.

One of the most affecting books I’ve read in a long time. 

Dark and striking from the start, this book dares you to see humanity in a protagonist who seldom tries to see those around him in any more than one dimension. 

A story already charged with the impotent rage of teenage hormones is thrown in to even more turmoil from the very first page. 

Do not listen to lower rated reviews on here, this novella is worth your time and then some.
