Didn't like it as much as I was hoping I would. Maybe that was to be expected with the page number on this book (104). But I still think it is a promising debut novel and will read the author's next book(s).

This is a fast paced book that is easily read in one day. It is a good little book to bring on a flight.

The main theme of the book is how the reader interprets the protagonists actions. Is he wrong or just confused? The more you read the more you want to sit him down and give him a good talking to, but maybe that's because I'm no longer a teenager. I found myself thinking almost simultaneously that this book is for a much younger reader than me at 29 and also that I would never lend it to anyone under the age of 25.

It has moments of great depth and will keep you thinking about the happenings of the 100 or so pages for a long time after you put it down.

This read like a fever dream. The way the opressive heat radiates off the page and Victors desperate attempt to make his mind stop spinning, it was amazing. It is short and I was hooked from the first sentence. It is also one of few times where the author utilized the first person narrative to it´s full effiency.

A sweltering book where everyone acts weirdly and teenage girls exist for the teenage boys to be uncheckedly creepy towards.

I didn’t hate this but it also gave me nothing. Leo deserved it.
