Before I get into the review, can we just take a few minutes to admire the cover art for this series. I absolutely love the combination of black and gold. It fits with the pixie aspect of the series.
Entice is the third book in the Need series.
At the end of the second book, Nick has died in battle and has been taken to Valhalla, the place where deceased heroes go. But, Zara refuses to give up on Nick, he is her soulmate and she is prepared to go to the ends of the earth to save him. Meanwhile, a pixie army is threatening the safety of everyone in Bedford. Also, Zara has just been transformed into a pixie queen by Astley. If Nick finds out, he may turn his back on her... forever.
Entice is a great continuation to the series. I found that the writing has considerably improved in leaps and bounds from the first book. As I mentioned in my review of Captivate (book 2), the writing of the first book was cringey, but the second book improved. It can only be assumed that as the books continue, the writing will get better!
I know that love triangles are sometimes irksome to people, especially as they appear to show up in YA romance often. Make up your mind! This one is done quite well, though I have to confess that I am on team Astley and there isn't much that could change my mind on that fact. As Nick is mostly out of the picture in this book, we get to see Zara and Astley's relationship evolve (amid all the rapid succession of events).
All and all, this was a fun book.

WOW!!!

This story just keeps getting better with each book.

Ok, so we finally have Nick back. He's skeptical of Zara (which is totally understandable), and Astley loves her even more than she's willing to admit to herself. I love Astley even ore than I did before (now that we see he actually does have a good side) and I am sitting here praying for the two of them to end up together!

Pixie kings, Valhalla, Norse Gods... this epic story has literally everything that makes it awesome! I can't wait to see if Zara becomes the pixie Queen that we want her to become (or at least that I want her to become).

1. Nobody deserves Astley.

2. Fucking Zara.

3. Can someone give Zara's mother the douchbag Nobel prize pls.

4. AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO DOESN'T CARE ABOUT NICK?

5. Also, please, can someone slap Zara?

6. At least, this book was way better.

7. But I feel the story sidetracked.

This series is good, but a little ammature for me to read. It was good though. I like the story. Getting into the Norse gods though is a little off topic.

By far the best in the series! The silliness of Zara is still there, but toned down as she starts maturing more and more through all sorts of trips around the world, wounds, losses, and, of course, the eternal quest to save Nick from Valhalla...

I like Jones's story, but her dialogue is juvenile. There were several times in the book that she mentions Zara "pulling in her lips toward her teeth." First, that is an odd image, though I do know what she means. After the 3rd, 4th, 5th time she uses this to describe what Zara is doing, I was thinking why couldn't she find something else to say.
There were also times that Zara sounds like a complete idiot. I know she's in high school, but it reads like someone impersonating a high schooler than a real high school student's voice.
That being said, I love Astley and the adventures he and Zara go on in this book. It's a quick, easy, and fun read, and I am excited to read the next book.

Team Astley all the way baby!

So. In this segment, we have seriously evil pixies, Valhalla, corruption, deceit, missing teenagers, etc. Makes for an awesome mix! Especially Valhalla-one can never get enough of Norse Mythology imo.

And as a surprise, I was expecting this to be a trilogy. And guess what? IT ISN'T!!! yay!
