There are offhanded and casual lore drops that are so funny and I wish they would get more than a mention for the world building.

Brilliant expansion of the Discworld universe and satisfying growth of Rincewind and Twoflower as characters.

I continue to be impressed by Pratchett’s work and to be baffled by the many people who warned me that the first few books in this series weren’t every good. The Light Fantastic maintains all that was good about book one (the charm, the humor, the excellent writing) while also adding in a more liner and satisfying plot and some more prominent character development. In particular, I really enjoyed the growth we see in Rincewind this go around.
