Mixed feelings on this one. Some truly awful characters in here and not a lot of redemption. But I kept going even when it pissed me off so maybe that is saying something?

I’m not sure why this book wasn’t more popular, but I liked it. It addresses something that happens everyday at practically every high school, college, frat, and even offices - boys and men behaving very,, very badly and trying to get away with it because they can’t fathom why they should be accountable. And too often, they get away with it for that reason. I’d like to think everyone ended up where they were supposed to be, but for the antagonist, I have to admit I lack faith.

The epilogue felt forced - like the author couldn’t think of a way to end the story. That’s really my only complaint.

I’m not entirely sure why (maybe the rich whyte women saviorism?), but this gave me the ick.

This story unfolds in a beautiful way. The different point of views was helpful and Lyla took me back to being a high schooler. It was hard to read at times, but truly lovely.
