Total cliffhanger. Fun to read - different than my normal mix. Really loved and appreciated the incredible art work. Curious to see where the story goes in volume 2

Conflicted; I loved the beginning, but the rest of the book didn't have much to further the plot. I like the ways that it confronted her changing origins and is rejecting the New 52 storyline (the art also does this beautifully) but I don't care at all about Steve and the boss fight was...underwhelming.

The lies - Diana starts to see some weird stuff in her memories so she tries to go back to themyscira but she can’t find it. She also has to help Steve Trevor and his team from some swamp thing dude. Then they cure cheetah and she’s human again.

My thoughts - the book is paced really weird which is my only problem, one villain went really quickly then went to the next. But the goods are the art is cool, the story with cheetah becoming human is really cool, the Steve Trevor relationship with Diana is also really cool. Thankfully she’s not dating superman anymore.

Overall good book

Up until now I've never been a big comic reader. In fact, this was the first superhero comic I've ever read. After seeing the new live-action movie last week, which by the way I love and highly recommend seeing, I became interested in reading Wonder Woman comics. I discovered this through a mixture of an Entertainment Weekly article online and a YouTube channel called Beyond The Trailer. The article suggested that this was a good comic for new fans to start out with. I really enjoyed it and look forward to reading the next one.

Well, I haven't read any Wonder Woman comics for a long time, and was only vaguely aware of the backstories. That's my failure more than the comics, but between not really knowing where it came from and having it end on such a cliffhanger, the book felt very uneven to me. The illustrations are wonderful - I very much enjoyed the artwork, as over-the-top as it is. I also really like seeing Wonder Woman having a new resurgence in the comics world - we need more lady superheroes! This book is really for someone already acquainted with the DC Universe, and not for the new comers.
