I loved Zoe's Orc series. She is just great at writing likable characters and steamy romance. This book was not an exeption.  The plot outside of the romance is interesting and makes me excited to read the rest of the trilogie as well. The biggest reason it's a 4,5 star for me instead of a 5 star is that the initial meet and the first kiss happen before the book. It was not that much of an issue but I would have loved to read it.

The FMC pissed me off with being dumb just to further the plot

There seems to be so much that happens off page. These two are already dancing around their feelings for each other before the book even starts and there's relationships building for others, also off page, which seems a strange way to set up a series (it's a series, right).

I don't have issues with meeting initially off page but things that start the snowball of relationship building happening off page is just strange. It feels like something is missing.

This was a fun read. The writing is smooth, the characters are multidimensional, and I really enjoyed the plot.
There was one thing I wish was different. The relationship between the main characters had started before the first page (albeit with one kiss). The best part of a romance (for me) is the build-up and I feel I missed that here. But otherwise, I enjoyed the story.

I'm a sucker for Alien romance, and this was no exception. It had everything, angst, emotion, love, romance, language and cultural differences, everything! This was a dystopian kind of world, and I loved it. I loved seeing how they tackled their monarch and won.

Ice Plant Rendu has definitely become one of my top planets to visit, albeit in pages. The story revolves around Captain Taron ad Naals and Dr. Adriana Ribeiro. There love story is one of a kind. The angst and pain they went through, along with all the romantic and emotional moments, wow. It was so good. They spice was amazing. I loved how they could both die for each other and want to save and protect each other at the same time. This was a wonderful experience.

Highly highly recommended to all Alien Romance lovers with a touch of war, love, and companionship with other characters.

DNFd at 20%. The premise sounded interesting but I couldn’t get into it.
