Super quick read but it was still a great Omar Zagouri story like the rest! I loved learning about Mia and the beginning of her relationship with Omar.

Having read Slave Queen, I feel more connected to the characters in this novella than the book. Seeing how Mia and Omar become a couple would also reflect the growth in their relationship from the beginning up until the present. I like Mia's character in this novella, compared to the tough woman that she is in the book. Moreover, seeing Omar in Mia's perspective is quite fascinating. In Slave Queen, Mia is like the equal of Omar but it is not how she looks at it.

As the two of them embarks on an adventure to accomplish a mission and trace the killer of Mia's mother, their wits, and intelligence synchronized with each other and they totally clicked. It's sweet and short but action-packed all the same. It is a page turner. Anyone who reads Omar Zagouri Thriller should read this.

It was fun to read how Mia and Omar (from the author's series with the same characters) met and started their relationship. I really enjoyed this story, mostly; however, there were 2 story lines/"jobs" Mia and Omar were on and neither were resolved quite to my satisfaction, because it's a short story. I really thought this short story had such potential to develop both story lines and be a full-length book or even longer novella. Still, I enjoyed reading it and the characters; it just wrapped up a bit too quickly for me. I would have enjoyed reading more detail and see it developed more.

***I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for my honest review.***

The setting was different. It was interesting, thought somewhat predictable. It was an easy read, and some parts I really wanted to find out what was going to happen next.
