Matthew was great as an MMC, and truly felt like a good balance to Daisy. Unfortunately, I found the character of Daisy wasn't portrayed the way that was intended, as other characters consistently described her as whimsical but her actual character seemed almost normal, with the occasional quip. Although I found this as a great improvement in terms of liking Daisy, it was still annoying to read about.
I personally enjoyed the subplots and the insights back into the existing characters. It was lovely to see the progression of Lillian and Marcus, and the intimacy that had developed between the wallflowers.
My biggest quip with the story was the overarching secret, which ultimately seemed to be wrapped up in a chapter; there was an overload of drama, then absolutely none, with everything resolved in an epilogue (which felt wrong). Additionally, I felt Matthew was out-of-character during that whole ordeal. I didn't feel we got the same satisfying conclusion as the other stories.

What can I say, I love the bowman sisters. So having additional Lillian and Marcus content plus the lovable daisy, I was hooked (no geese were harmed in the making of that joke).
An absolute ride start to finish but itโs all about the friendship of the wallflowers โค๏ธ

I love the trope where one half of a couple has been obsessed with the other since they first met and Matthew and Daisy really bring it with this dynamic. Matthew's ability to see Daisy's whole and what makes her special in the face of a world and social circle where nobody else does is enchanting, and Daisy's willingness to open her mind to the person she never thought would be right for her is so sweet to watch. Sprinkled throughout with some classic Kelypas shenanigans (see: the goose, the lawn bowling) you get a clear picture of two people who have so much joy and energy and willfullness to share with each other.
Also, the first sex scene in this book is hands down one of the hottest things I've ever read. I was gasping out loud. You will love it.
