It's a cute slice of life of two of the most bewilderingly stubborn and out of touch characters. Nothing really happens in this volume, but it's still oddly compelling.

Muy divertido, aunque se me hace difícil asimilar los dibujos: se ven raros, distintos al anime (al parecer fueron bastante fieles en todo, menos en lo que mencioné)

Um ehrlich zu sein, ich habe den Manga nicht beendet. Ich habe mich bis etwa zur Hälfte durchgequält und dann abgebrochen. Ich fand den Manga sehr anstrengend. Die beiden Charaktere wollen je den anderen dazu kriegen, dass er zugibt sich in den anderen verliebt zu haben. Dies versuchen sie durch allerhand kleine Machtspielchen und Intrigen. Die Charaktere waren mir einfach unglaublich unsympathisch und das ganze brachte mir überhaupt nichts. Alles wurde bis ins kleinste Detail erklärt, interessant wurde es dadurch aber auch nicht. Auch die Gedankengänge der Protagonisten waren einfach nur anstrengend und ich konnte mich dann nicht mehr zwingen meine Zeit damit zu verschwenden.
Der Zeichenstil war okay, aber hat mich nicht umgehauen. Teilweise wirkte es sehr skizzenhaft.
Der Manga wird auf jeden Fall wieder bei mir ausziehen.

It was v fun to follow along our 3 main characters; Kaguya, Shirogane and Chika in this highly prestigious school called Shuchiin Academy where Kaguya and Shirogane refuse to confess their love to one another as whoever confesses first is considered the ‘loser’, like in a war, which is why the manga name is Love Is War. I laughed out loud quite a few times and while this wasn’t anything life changing, I think this was a great first volume to the series. Can’t wait to pick up the next volumes!! ❤️
