Wow. I wont lie, it took me a while to get into this book, although its not the books fault, its tiktoks for spoiling the end for me. I knew what was to happen and it made me not want to read on because i knew i wasnt going to like how it ended. I always knew
Tayrn was fishy, although I was sad about the Ghost's betrayl.
It definitely picked up half way through and Jude's badassness kept me reading.
4 stars as of just finishing

Normally I feel like sequels can't help but fall a little flat. This, however, is an exception to that rule. Black did an amazing job keeping the energy and excitement from The Cruel Prince and I was clinging to every page. She does a great job with foreshadowing, where one the last piece clicks into place you realize everything you missed on the journey there. I absolutely cannot recommend this enough.

Definitely more romance going on in this book (love it and I know this is a YA book, but I would love a little more details, because those particular scenes have so much potential). Cardan somehow became surprisingly enjoyable as well as their relationship. Additionally, the plot is way better in comparison to the first book. Highly recommend this series for any YA reader (it was a little to innocent and childish for my spicy taste).
